Beginning Note Reading

Middle C and Anchor E Song, Hot Cross Buns and Mary Had a Little Lamb

1.  Place your right hand in the same starting position as Peter, Peter, Pumpkin Eater.

2.  Follow the music as shown in the video below.  Finger 1 (thumb) will play Middle C and Finger 3 (middle finger) will play Anchor E. 
NOTE:   In Hot Cross Buns and Mary Had a Little Lamb, the 2nd finger (pointer) will play the note in between C and E.  Even though we know this is D, we are going to say "step up" or "step down".  We save saying D for Anchor D, which is several lessons away and not this same D. 
Also, the student may play these MUCH slower, even 20 seconds per note.
