Each student will have a "Monopoly Wallet" in their binder. This will track how much money they earn and spend throughout the year. Each week the student can earn up to 28 (35 if they are working on a movie song) points for practicing. (See sample Assignment Sheet below). This would require practicing 4 assigned songs in the way they are assigned for 7 days. If a student practices all assigned songs 5 days or more they receive a Perfect Practice bonus of $10. Each week they can also earn $10 if they successfully complete the task on the Chance Card. In addition, completing Creative Chest or Take 1-3 activities when they are assigned earn $25.
Sample Assignment Sheet
Example: Each time the student completes the COMPLETE practice instructions for an assigned song they should mark off the practice box. They can earn credit for up to 5 times. This is the MINIMUM they should do during practice. After they have completed the practice instructions they can spend the rest of the time doing self-directed practicing. Please sign your initials to confirm they practices using the practice instructions and not simply playing through their songs several times.
